Digital 2D and 3D art, traditional art, mixed, etc. There are so many styles and medium to try. It takes a lot of time to be good at something.īe curious. Compare the first drawing to the last one and you’ll see the progress.īe patient. The first drawing of something you haven’t draw before probably would suck. So being an artist is all about the journey and you should learn to love and enjoy the feeling of the on-going adventure, because I don’t think there’s the ultimate end goal there. It’s very rarely a person knows exactly what they want to be. Some would be a better storyteller because that’s what their passion is about. Some artists would improve faster just because they have the ability to learn faster. Each person is different and has a different speed of absorbing the new information. It’s hard to not compare yourself to others but for your own mental health you should try to stop it. If you know how something works you can draw it from different angles. Use you brain along with your eyes to learn things. Even a little bit of new knowledge is making you better than you were before learning it. Don’t get discouraged if you can’t memorize things as quickly as you hoped so. If you don’t like studying and learning stuff, well, you better develop the love for it, because the ability to learn is what will determine the speed of your improving as artist.
